Overview
WaterLeak AI is a 5 cm battery-powered monitor that combines a low-light camera with water-contact and humidity sensors and an on-device AI model. It watches pipes, HVAC units, bathrooms and roof spaces, detects visible water and moisture anomalies, and alerts maintenance teams instantly through the mobile app.
Camera plus water-contact and humidity sensing in a 5 × 5 × 3 cm unit
Visual leak segmentation and humidity-trend anomaly detection
Instant alerts to the mobile app over Wi-Fi, LoRa or 4G
Months of battery life, under 3 W peak
The problem
Water damage is one of the most frequent and costly property insurance claims for homes, hotels, offices and data centres. Simple spot sensors only trigger when water reaches them, and slow leaks behind equipment or in ceiling voids go unnoticed for weeks. Maintenance teams find out from stained ceilings and angry occupants.
Use cases
Homes and apartments
Watch water heaters, under-sink pipes and washing machines and get an alert before a flood.
Hotels and offices
Monitor bathrooms, risers, plant rooms and ceiling voids across a building.
Data centres
Detect leaks from CRAC / CRAH units and chilled-water pipes near critical equipment.
HVAC and roof spaces
Spot condensate overflow, roof leaks and rising humidity in hard-to-reach areas.
Factories and plant rooms
Monitor pumps, valves and pipe joints for drips and pipe damage.
How it works
1
Install
Stick or screw WaterLeak near pipes, HVAC units or fixtures and pair it in the app.
2
Monitor
The camera captures periodic low-light images while sensors track humidity and contact with water.
3
Detect
On-device models segment visible water and flag abnormal humidity trends.
4
Alert
An instant alert with a snapshot goes to the mobile app, email or building management system.
5
Act
Maintenance teams respond, mark the issue resolved, and optionally trigger a shut-off valve.
In the app
WaterLeak
The WaterLeak app shows every monitor's status and alerts with snapshots; building managers get a multi-site dashboard with floor plans.

Yes. The $49 deposit is fully refundable any time before your unit ships — email [email protected] or use the refund link in your confirmation email. It is credited in full against the purchase price, and reserving creates no obligation to buy. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
Is my data processed on the device?
Yes. Images are analysed on the device and are only sent to your app when a leak is detected. The camera points at pipes and equipment, and you can set privacy zones in the app.
How long does the battery last?
Our target is several months at the default capture interval. Battery life depends on capture frequency and connectivity, and the app shows remaining battery.
Which connectivity should I choose?
Wi-Fi works for most homes. Larger buildings benefit from LoRaWAN, which reaches basements and plant rooms with a single gateway. 4G is available for remote sites.
How is it installed?
Peel and stick, or screw it in place, near the area to watch, place the water probe on the floor, and pair it with the app in about two minutes.
Is WaterLeak AI available now?
WaterLeak AI is in development. Specifications shown are target specifications and may change as we complete engineering validation. We are targeting a Q3 2027 ship window and will email reservation holders with every major milestone.
What warranty will it come with?
We are planning a 2-year limited hardware warranty covering manufacturing defects, with advance replacement for pilot and business customers. Final warranty terms will be published before shipping begins.
