App Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-29
Draft — to be reviewed by counsel before the app is published in any store.
This policy covers the IEMI app (app id com.iemilabs.app) on Android, iPhone and iPad, Mac, Windows, Linux and
the web. It is one app for every IEMI product. The website privacy policy covers iemilabs.com.
1. What the app collects
Nothing that identifies you. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. It does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location, photos, camera or microphone.
2. What stays on your device
The app keeps three things on your device only:
- the product you chose with “Make this my product”;
- the devices you paired (today these are demo devices, stored by name only);
- a copy of the product catalog, so the app works offline.
Uninstalling the app deletes them. We cannot see them.
3. What the app downloads
When it opens, the app downloads the public product catalog from https://iemilabs.com/app/catalog.json. This is
the same product information shown on our website. Like any web request, it reaches our hosting provider
(Cloudflare), which handles your IP address to deliver the file and may keep standard security logs. We do not
combine these logs with anything else or use them to identify you.
4. IEMI equipment (when it ships)
Today the app shows demo devices only. When IEMI equipment ships:
- the app will talk to your equipment directly, over its own secure Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, with no IEMI account needed;
- each product’s own privacy rule, shown in the app under Connects → Privacy, says what the equipment keeps and for how long. For example, cameras send only positions and labels, short clips stay on the equipment, and there is no face recognition;
- Bluetooth and local network permissions will be requested only when you pair equipment, and the app will tell you why first;
- products for children, and for care settings, show a consent screen before any camera job starts.
We will update this policy, and the store privacy labels, before any of these features are released.
5. Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Products used with children (StudyOne, ClassOne and junior sports) keep their data on the equipment, under the consent rules above.
6. Your choices and contact
Remove the app at any time to delete everything it stored. For questions, email [email protected].
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here before the app update that needs it.
