Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026-10-21
Draft — to be reviewed by counsel before launch.
This policy explains what personal information IEMI Labs collects through iemilabs.com, why we collect it and how we look after it. We aim to collect as little as possible.
1. What we collect
When you reserve a product, apply for a pilot or send an enquiry, we collect:
- your name and email address;
- your country;
- the product(s) you are interested in;
- optional details you choose to give us, such as company, role, industry and your message.
When you pay a deposit, Stripe collects your payment details directly. We receive confirmation of payment and limited information such as the last four digits of your card, but never your full card number.
We use privacy-friendly Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across websites.
2. Why we use it
We use your information to:
- manage your reservation, deposit and any refund;
- respond to enquiries and run the pilot programme;
- send you updates about the product you reserved or asked about;
- plan production and shipping by region and product.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. Where it is stored
Reservation and enquiry data is stored in a database hosted on Cloudflare. Payment data is processed by Stripe. If we use an email delivery service to send confirmations, it receives only what is needed to send the message.
4. How long we keep it
We keep reservation and enquiry data while your reservation is active or while we are in contact with you, and then for as long as needed for legal, tax and accounting obligations (for example, payment and refund records).
5. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop sending you updates, at any time by emailing [email protected]. Every update email also includes an unsubscribe link. Depending on where you live (for example the UK, EU or India), you may have additional rights under local data-protection law, including the right to complain to your local regulator.
6. Data from our products
Our products are designed to process video and sensor data on the device. Product data handling will be described in a separate product privacy notice before shipping.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where required by law.
8. Changes
We will update this policy as our products and services develop and will change the “updated” date above. Material changes will be emailed to reservation holders.
