What it is

A small clip-on box for an RO purifier's tubing that tracks litres filtered and water TDS.

What it does

  • Counts litres filtered
  • Measures TDS before and after filtering
  • Predicts when filters need changing
  • Sends change reminders

Who it's for

Households with RO purifiers and RO service technicians.

The idea

A small meter beside any RO purifier counts litres and pump hours, so the dealer knows whose filters are due

The problem today

RO service dealers change filters and membranes by the calendar, so technicians visit homes that do not need it yet and miss the ones that do. Customers then buy filters from a roadside mechanic, and a $5 TDS pen cannot say how much water has gone through the filters.

With PureTrack

A PureTrack meter fitted beside the purifier counts the litres at the tap, the pump's run time and current, and the water's TDS if the probe is fitted. Its lights show when service is due with no phone, the technician's phone syncs it at each visit, and the dealer gets a weekly list of homes that really need a change.

  1. 1PureTrack meter beside the purifierThe one brain: keeps a year of hourly litres and pump time, and its green, amber and red lights show service due with no phone
  2. 2Flow sensor on the tap lineCounts every litre poured at the tap, after the last filter, so filter life follows real use, not the calendar
  3. 3TDS probe on the tap line (option)Checks the water leaving the purifier, so a tired membrane shows up before the family tastes it
  4. 4Pump lead through the meterTimes the pump and reads its current: more pump seconds per litre means clogged filters, and a stuck pump is flagged
  5. 5Family's phone (optional app)Relays the meter when in range and shows litres this month, days to the next service and a call-the-dealer button
  6. 6Technician's phone at the visitSyncs the meter over Bluetooth at the door, so homes with no Wi-Fi still report, and records the service done
  7. 7Dealer's weekly due listLists the homes whose filters or membrane are really due, with a chart to send each family, so the dealer keeps the sale

What you see in the app

One screen for each job PureTrack does.

  • Filter dueThe family drinks about 14 litres a day from the RO purifier. The box counts every litre and shows when each filter is really due.

  • Membrane wearOver the weeks, the membrane slowly lets more dissolved solids through. The optional TDS probe shows the trend before the taste changes.

  • Pump nonstopThe tank float valve sticks and the purifier pump keeps running with almost no water drawn. The dealer and family get an alert.

App screens with sample data. The interface is in development.

    Lab updates for PureTrack

    All lab updates
    1. LatestRO service dealers in India change filters by the calendar, so technicians make wasted visits while customers buy filters from roadside mechanics; a $5 TDS pen cannot measure litres or pump time, and the purifier standard already requires a TDS display on new units (PureTrack DESIGN.md market check).
      • Drawn idea plan (idea.json): a home kitchen from above with the wall-mounted RO purifier beside the sink, the tap line, the wall socket, the dining table, the front door and the dealer's shop; pins for the meter, the flow sensor and the optional TDS probe on the tap line, the pump lead, the family's phone, the technician's phone at the door and the dealer's weekly due list
      • The product picture is now this drawn plan instead of the plain fallback card; drawn from the design notes, not the CAD
      • What the plan keeps from the market work: the dealer is the buyer, Bluetooth sync at each visit for homes with no Wi-Fi, and lights on the meter that work with no phone
      • Next: close-out C5 (buyer review prep for sports) from 12:00; until then more drawn plans for catalogue products on the fallback card (raidpost, rubdock)

    PureTrack FAQ

    General FAQ
    What data does PureTrack collect?

Only litres, TDS readings and water temperature from your purifier. Data goes to your app; if you join the filter plan, only filter due dates and delivery details are shared with us. It has no camera or microphone.

Is PureTrack certified? Does it tell me my water is safe?

No. It is in development and holds no certifications yet. Potable-water material certification for the wetted parts (such as NSF/ANSI 61 or an Indian equivalent) and radio/EMC testing are planned before sale. TDS is not a safety test: PureTrack cannot tell you whether water is safe to drink and does not test for bacteria or harmful chemicals.

    How is it installed?

The RO line is cut and the two ends pushed into PureTrack's quick-connect fittings, the TDS probes are placed on the input and output side, and the box clips under the sink. It takes about 20 minutes. If you are not comfortable working on the purifier, ask your RO service technician.

    What connectivity does it need?

The filter-life bar works on its own. BLE connects to your phone nearby, and home Wi-Fi gives reminders anywhere.

    Is PureTrack available now?

No. It is a new concept in development. Specifications are target specifications. It is a concept: we are not taking orders, reservations or deposits, and it has no ship date yet.

What warranty will it come with?

We are planning a 2-year limited hardware warranty covering manufacturing defects. Final terms will be published before shipping begins.
