The whole GuestRoom
One ceiling disc with one ESP32-C6 runs three room jobs: it smells the air for smoke and vapes, sets the AC back when a radar says the room is really empty, and watches a cold bathroom wall for mould risk, all on the owner's Wi-Fi to one app.
02Brain
ESP32-C6-MINI-1 (disc PCB)
The brain: it runs the guestroom firmware program
03
SEN66 air module
Measures fine particles, VOC, NOx, CO₂, humidity and temperature once a second
ESP32-C6-MINI-1 (disc PCB) · I²C (6-pin cable) · 1 Hz air readings
04
BME690 gas sensor
Scans gas response to tell vapes from shower steam and sprays
ESP32-C6-MINI-1 (disc PCB) · I²C (shared bus) · Gas resistance profile

05
Presence radar
Sees a guest even lying still in bed, so the AC is set back only in an empty room
ESP32-C6-MINI-1 (disc PCB) · UART over the 6-core pod lead · Moving and still presence, distance

06
IR LEDs to the AC
Send the AC's own remote codes: set back, dry mode, back to the guest's setting
ESP32-C6-MINI-1 (disc PCB) · GPIO + MOSFET on the pod PCB, over the pod lead · 38 kHz IR remote frames
07
IR receiver
Learns the AC remote at install and hears what the guest sets
ESP32-C6-MINI-1 (disc PCB) · GPIO (RMT receive) over the pod lead · The guest's set point and mode

08
Bathroom wall tag
SHT45 air reading and an NTC bead on the coldest wall give the wall's own humidity

What it is
One ceiling node per guest room that does three room jobs.
What it does
Who it's for
Small hotels, motels, serviced apartments and rental hosts.
How the parts connect
Every part, what links it to the brain, and how the data reaches your phone. A solid line is a cable; a dashed line is a radio link.

Manager's phone and browser; housekeeping tablet
One screen for each job GuestRoom does.
Smoke and vapeAt 22:14 the ceiling disc in room 214 smells a vape cloud. The manager gets an evidence card with the particle curve to show the guest.
AC setbackThe guest goes out for the day. After 20 minutes with nobody in the room, the pod sets the AC back to 26 °C with its own remote codes.
Bathroom dampThe tag on the bathroom's coldest wall has read mould-risk humidity for three days. Housekeeping is told, and the empty room runs the AC in dry mode.
App screens with sample data. The interface is in development.
| Smoke or vape event | Room 214, vape, 86% sure, 22:14 | Each event |

| Evidence card | 10 min particle curve | Each event |

No camera, no microphone. Presence is used inside the node to set the AC back and is never shown per guest; the manager sees only empty-room hours.

From the product lab · ideation phase
It does the job of VapeSense (smoke and vape evidence), AirMate IR (AC set back when the room is really empty) and MouldGuard (the coldest wall watched for mould-risk humidity) in one guest room, with one brain and one app. Separately our three products cost about $547 + $13.50 a month a room; GuestRoom is $329 + $8 a month (target).
It is designed not to. The radar sees still people as well as moving ones, and the AC is only set back after 20 minutes with nobody in the room. If the guest uses their own remote, the node hears it and follows their setting. This is a design target, not yet tested.
No. It measures air, radar presence and a wall temperature. Presence stays in the node; the manager only sees empty-room hours.
It cannot promise that. It tells you when the bathroom wall stays damp enough for mould, and runs the AC's dry mode in the empty room. A failed extractor fan or a cold wall still needs fixing.
It gives you a dated evidence record. Whether a fee applies is your decision under a policy the guest agreed to.
No. It is a concept in design. The CAD and fit checks are done, but it has not been built or tested. We are not taking orders, reservations or deposits.
