    All connected

6 key parts, one program, and your phone

What it is

One pitch-side hub with goal cameras, a heading pod and two e-paper boards, with one club app.

What it does

  • Logs every shot with zone, outcome, speed and a clip
  • Counts headers per player against the FA limits
  • Times sin bins and tracks everyone-plays quarters on match day

Who it's for

Youth football clubs that train and play on their own pitch.

What you see in the app

One screen for each job GoalSide does.

  • ShotsAt Tuesday training the U14s shoot at goal. The post cameras log each shot zone, result and speed, with a clip for the coach.

  • Header countBefore a heading drill, each player taps a wristband on the pod. The ring shows how many headers they have left this week.

  • Sin binOn match day the referee sends AWAY #7 to the sin bin and taps AWAY at the restart. The halfway board counts down his time.

  • QuartersCoaches send each quarter lineup. Before Q4 the board shows who has played least, so everyone gets their turn.

App screens with sample data. The interface is in development.

What the app gets

Data GoalSide sends to the app
ShotTop left, goal, 71 km/h (±10%), clip c_412Each shot
HeadersSam (U14): 7 of 10 this weekEach heading turn
Sin binAWAY #7: 3:40 leftEvery 10 s while a player is out
Quarters#4 and #11 must start Q4Each quarter
Match goal clip31:40, AWAY down to 10Each goal

Players are first names or shirt numbers only. Clips go to parents only after the club approves. Sin-bin and quarter records stay with the club and the referee's report.

    Lab updates for GoalSide

    All lab updates
    1. LatestOne football product per club, as the smart goal itself.
      • Still part of FootballOne, now redesigned as a smart goal: https://iemilabs.com/products/footballone/

See it in 3DFull research and design

    2. Football clubs need one product for the pitch, not several kits and apps.
      • Folded into FootballOne: see https://iemilabs.com/products/footballone/

    3. A youth football club trains and plays on one pitch but tracks it all by hand: shooting practice, each player's headers against the FA limits for their age, sin bins that must start at the restart with lost time added (London FA, IFAB guidelines), and who must start each quarter under an everyone-plays rule (AYSO). Our own four products for these jobs cost $4,366 + $150 a month with three clocks and two apps.
      • New product GoalSide: one pitch-side hub runs shot stats, heading limits, sin-bin timing and everyone-plays quarters, with one access point, one match clock and one club app
      • Reused CAD parts unchanged: the SmartGoal GoalCam, post saddle, sun hood, power-bank box, cable clip, hub tray and HeadCount pod, and the OffsideFlag SinBin board and QuarterBoard. 15 printed parts, each one solid, every bought part fits
      • 3D view: a goal post with the GoalCam and its battery box, the hub case beside the goal, the heading pod on a slalom pole, and the halfway flag post with both boards
      • Program: the sin-bin and quarter rules moved onto the hub and pass all their checks there; a goal clip is tagged with the minute and who is in the sin bin
      • Dropped: OffsideFlag's flags, wrist unit and body cameras (the referee's own kit) and SmartGoal's third camera on a stand
      • Hardware: parts about $1,030 a kit (est.); priced $3,790 + $150 a month against $4,366 + $150 a month for the four separately; product page, parts list, how-it-works and design notes added

    GoalSide FAQ

    General FAQ
    Which products does GoalSide replace?

It does the job of SmartGoal (GoalCam shot stats), the HeadCount heading pod, and the SinBin board and QuarterBoard from OffsideFlag, with one hub, one access point, one match clock and one app. Separately they cost $4,366 + $150/month; GoalSide is $3,790 + $150/month (target).

Does it replace the referee's watch or decisions?

No. It is a timing and records aid. The referee keeps the official time, decides when a sin-binned player may return and enforces substitutions.

    Does it make heading safe?

No. It counts headers against the FA training guidance for each age and shows how many are left. It makes no medical or safety claim.

What about the referee's flags and body camera?

They stay in OffsideFlag. They belong to the referee, not the club, so they were left out of GoalSide.

    Who sees the clips?

Coaches on the pitch. Parents only after the club approves. Players are named by first name or shirt number.

    Is GoalSide available now?

No. It is a concept in design. The CAD and fit checks are done, but it has not been built or tested. We are not taking orders, reservations or deposits.
