What it is

A safety-yellow camera head over a site entrance that checks PPE and gives a light and voice prompt.

What it does

  • Checks hard hat, hi-vis and harness
  • Shows a green, amber or red light
  • Speaks a short PPE reminder
  • Reports anonymous counts only

Who it's for

Construction firms, mines, factories and warehouses with controlled entrances.

What you see in the app

One screen for each job PPE Gate AI does.

  • Door promptA truck driver walks toward the yard door without a hard hat. The light turns red and a voice reminds him in English or Spanish.

  • Prompt clusterAt shift start, five people in a row reach the dock door without vests. The site manager sees the cluster and puts a vest rack there.

  • Gate healthA bumped mount or a dirty lens can blind a door. If its camera stops sending, the supervisor hears about it within ten minutes.

App screens with sample data. The interface is in development.

Lab updates for PPE Gate AI

    All lab updates
    1. LatestA contractor needs one thing at the site gate that checks PPE on every entry, knows who is on site when the fire alarm sounds, stops tailgating, and sets the heat flag, without a gateman. Full-height turnstiles are already standard at controlled sites (Sunbelt Rentals hires them; one US rental hub lists a 2-lane access-control turnstile at $1,875 per 4 weeks), but PPE cameras and heat stations are bought separately on their own poles, and OSHA's heat rule is still only a proposal, so sites run their own heat plans.

    PPE Gate AI FAQ

    General FAQ
Does PPE Gate identify or record workers?

No. PPE checks run on the head and video is not stored by default. Faces and bodies are blurred on the device before any optional clip is saved. There is no face recognition, no badge linking and no identity, and the system does not infer emotion, fatigue or attention. The dashboard shows anonymous counts by gate and shift.

Is PPE Gate certified or safety rated?

No. It is a reminder and reporting aid, not a safety-rated system, and it does not ensure compliance. The dry-contact output is advisory and is not an access-control or safety interlock. CE/UKCA/FCC certification testing is planned, and the IP66 rating is a design target until lab-tested.

    How is it installed?

Mount the head on a wall or a 50 mm pole at 2.3–2.6 m looking down the approach and connect PoE+ or 12–48 V DC. For open sites, an optional 2.4 m mast with a weighted base needs no fixings.

    What connectivity does it need?

Prompts work on the head with no network. Counts and reports upload over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or the optional LTE module.

Is PPE Gate AI available now?

No. It is in development and the specifications are targets. It is a concept: we are not taking orders, reservations or deposits, and it has no ship date yet.

What warranty will it come with?

We are planning a 2-year limited hardware warranty covering manufacturing defects. Final terms will be published before shipping begins.
