7 key parts, one program, and your phone

What it is

One hub and two small pods for a backyard pool, with one app.

What it does

  • Reports every close of the pool gate
  • Photographs the strip outside the fence for things left there
  • Warns of water under the pump, freezing pipes and a pump that did not run

Who it's for

Families with a backyard pool.

  3. PoolDeck app

What you see in the app

One screen for each job PoolDeck does.

  • Gate closesA gardener props the pool gate open with a hose. The pod on the gate times every close and sees it did not shut.

  • Fence stripSix times a day the camera checks the strip outside the pool fence. A chair left against it is something a child could climb.

  • Pad leakWater pools on the pad under the pump while it runs. The puck there goes off at once, while the one by the filter stays dry.

  • Freeze and pumpOn a cold night the pump is off and the return pipe keeps cooling. The owner is warned before the water in the pipes freezes.

App screens with sample data. The interface is in development.

    Lab updates for PoolDeck

    All lab updates
    1. LatestOne product for the home pool (owner decision, 27 Oct 2026).
      • Its jobs now run in PoolOne, the smart pool gate: /products/poolone/

See it in 3DFull research and design

    2. A family with a backyard pool needs three things checked that they now check by eye: that the self-closing gate really shut, that nothing climbable is left against the fence, and that the pump pad is dry. A dripping pump seal wets the motor bearings and shortens the motor's life, and the leak often drips down unseen (VEVOR pool pump guide); faulty gates and climbable objects are the top pool barrier faults (Royal Life Saving WA). Our own two products for this cost $398 with two apps.
      • New product PoolDeck: one DeckHub on the fence post by the pump runs the gate, fence-strip and pump-pad jobs, with one app and no subscription
      • Reused CAD parts unchanged: PoolGuard LeafPod, PostTag, ClearZone pod and wedges. New CAD parts: a longer DeckHub case and lid with a socket for the pad lead and a gland for the power lead, and a pad leak puck that holds two stainless contact heads just above the slab. The WaterLeak pipe clip is resized for pool pipe. 11 printed parts, each one solid, every bought part fits
      • 3D view: a pool deck with a glass fence, the gate with its pod, the equipment pad with pump, filter and return pipe, the hub on the pier beside it and a far fence pod
      • Dropped: WaterLeak radio, gateway and building valve parts, and PoolGuard commercial camera add-on and wristband (a different buyer)
      • Hardware: parts about $168 a kit (est.); priced $249 against $398 for the two products separately; product page, parts list, how-it-works and design notes added

See it in 3DFull research and design

    PoolDeck FAQ

    General FAQ
    Which products does PoolDeck replace?

It does the job of PoolGuard Latch (gate closes, spring trend and the ClearZone fence-strip photos) and WaterLeak (leak contacts and pipe probes, moved to the pump pad), with one hub, one Wi-Fi connection and one app. Separately they cost $398; PoolDeck is $249 with no subscription (target).

Does PoolDeck stop drowning or make my pool compliant?

No. It monitors and alerts only. The fence and the self-closing, self-latching gate stay the barrier, and adults still supervise. It is not an inspection and it never replaces one.

Will it shut off the pump or the water?

No. It tells you about water under the pump, freezing pipes or a pump that did not run. You or your pool service decide what to do.

Does the camera see my neighbours or my family?

The fence cameras are masked to the 900 mm strip outside your fence, people are blurred out, and photos stay off the cloud by default.

    Do I need an electrician?

No. The hub uses a listed 5 V plug in the outdoor outlet your pump pad already has, under an in-use cover. The gate pod and far pod run on AA cells.

    Is PoolDeck available now?

No. It is a concept in design. The CAD and fit checks are done, but it has not been built or tested. We are not taking orders, reservations or deposits.
